Replacement of Wooden Sleeper with
PNP Railways Sleepers and ‘Screw Fit’ Chairs

“PNP track was fitted to the bridge at the track as a test to see how it would look and perform. The photo’s show a before and after of the two tracks from each end of the bridge.

The clubs were really delighted with the product and the following year the bridge was widened for two running tracks. One track on the bridge being 3½" & 5" gauge and the other track being 5"& 7¼" gauges. The two PNP tracks on the bridge look superb when approaching from the locomotive driver’s viewpoint and since there is no stone ballast all of the sleepers stand out well. This is a vast improvement to the old wooden sleepers”.
