Rail Clips & Sole Plates
The rail clips and sole plates are available in a number of variations to suit various rail. Due to the various rail profiles available we would advise that you either request a sample pack or send us a small piece of rail, so that we may advise you of the best combination of clips to use.
7¼" Narrow Gauge Bar Rail System
Quite a number of miniature railways, both garden and commercial, use ordinary steel bar for rail, and in many cases these bar/rails are fixed down by welding them to steel cross strips, which is then often screwed to a wooden sleeper. This is very serviceable, but it has been said that it does not look very true to scale. We have developed an easy to use system, which will accommodate 12mm x 30mm and, the smaller 10mm x 20mm black bar. This should be easier to lay and look, perhaps, a lot more realistic. The track system has all the features of our other track components including ease of assembly, selectable gauge widening, rot, frost and UV resistance.
Sleepers & Chairs suitable for 12mm x 30mm Black Steel Bar
The system consists of PNP Railways large narrow gauge sleepers (PNR-5F) and a new, extremely tough polymer moulding, in the shape of a narrow gauge chair (PNR-4V), into which the bar can be pressed. The rail can be set in position by the use of stakes, and the sleepers and chairs will hold the required radius without the need for rolling. The stakes, of course are taken out after the sleepers are in position. The chairs can also be used on wooden sleepers Should you require dual gauge the chair for 10mm x 20mm bar rail and a spacer (PNR-5A & PNR-5G) is used.
