The recent unseasonable snippet of springtime temperatures caught a lot of us a bit by surprise. It's a bit early in the season for long days out when normal February weather prevails. (If there is normal weather these days). So, to make the most of a sunny Sunday, we grabbed cameras and popped into neighbouring Wiltshire and headed for Blunsdon Station, the main visitor centre for the Swindon & Cricklade Railway.
The S&CR was one of the first to completely reconstruct a standard gauge railway with no legacy of buildings or track. They celebrated their 40th anniversary last year. We celebrated a beautiful spring like day by visiting Blunsdon Station. You can read more about the S&CR
