7¼” Drawhook with Vertical Hole – Wagon & Van

Lost wax low grade stainless steel casting.

Wagon drawhook, designed to take instanter coupling or 3 chainlink set.

First used on RCH wagons and widely adopted by L.M.S., L.N.E.R., B.R. and private owners as standard.

Rectangle at back has vertical hole for links via rod to centre spring cradle under wagon floor.  Square shank is designed to slide through hole in buffer beam, and then rotated to get hook vertical.

Alternate design to casting 50086. Hook will accept spring at rear if square is cut off.

Hook Dimensions: (L) 3.625″ x (W) 1.2″ x (H) 0.27″

Rectangular End: 0.372″ x 0.231″

Shaft: 0.25″ Diameter

Gauge: 7¼”
