Lost wax low grade stainless steel casting.
Wagon drawhook, designed to take Instanter coupling or 3 - link set. First used on RCH Wagons, widely adopted by L.M.S., L.N.E.R. and B.R. as a standard.
Rectangle at back is drilled for links to centre spring cradle under wagon. Square shank is designed to slide through hole in buffer beam.
Alternatively, Hook will accept spring at rear if square is cut off.
